Frequently Asked Questions about Plugs
The internal plug is selected based on the outer diameter of the pipe and its wall thickness. For example, if you have a 42.4 mm pipe with a 1.5 mm wall, you need a plug specifically marked "42.4x1.5".
Our plugs have a tight fit. Installation is usually done with a rubber mallet. In rare cases, for vibration resistance, special metal glue or spot welding can be used.
Visually, they are identical. However, AISI 304 contains a higher percentage of nickel and chromium, making it rust-resistant outdoors. AISI 201 is cheaper but only suitable for indoor interiors with low humidity.
